Unfortunately, this news story was riddled with inaccuracies and paints a misleading picture of the state of affairs here in Texas.

Annette Burrhus-Clay, executive director of the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault, a statewide nonprofit advocacy organization, addressed this case on our blog. http://taasa.org/blog/?p=1024

Hi Steven,
Thank you for this great work. I am the Education Services Coordinator for the Sexual Assault Recovery and Prevention Center in San Luis Obispo, CA. Our male educator leads several weekly MyStrength clubs in the county. I am happy to see a new avenue to sharing ideas and techniques for involving men in the movement. We will be tuned in!

Cheers!

Hi Steven,

Just wanted to mention I am part (as a consultant) to the Fox Valley Voices of Men Project here in the Fox Cities. Great to see your podcast and I have forwarded it to all the members of the FCVOM steering committee. I suspect you will be hearing from one or more or them soon. Great idea. I hope to meet with you again in the near future.

I don't have a comment on this particular story....but I was thrilled to see this organization still running. I was one of the founding members in 1983. It was a great experience in my life to be involved with the group of men that started this. Something came up the other day that made me think of the group, and I went to see if it still exists. So glad to see it does. Keep up the good work!

I remember some of our first workshops at fraternites.....of course, it is sad they are still needed.
