Ongoing Projects…

Over the years, MSR has participated in a number of local community projects; some of the ongoing or regularly recurring projects are:

Sexual Assault Awareness Month (April)

April is SAAM. MSR participates in the planning of this community-wide series of events and occassionally offers workshops. We are glad to speak to anyone and answer questions, or to provide workshop facilitation at your business or school.

We will be co-hosting a discussion session: “Allies in Ending Violence.” This event will be discussion based, multi-generational, and cross-gender.

What are the individual issues for men and women who do violence prevention work? What are the barriers that keep us from being allies? What does being an “ally” even mean? Is your definition different than mine? How can we build an inclusive community that honors survivor’s voices while pro-actively moving toward a future that is devoid of violence?

We will explore these questions and more (we look forward to hearing what’s on your mind and learning from our collective experience).

Sat., April 25th, 2009_1:00 – 4:00 p.m., on the UW-Madison campus; check TITU (Today In The Union); male-only and female-only discussions followed by co-ed, co-facilitated discussion session. For more info, call Stephen at (608) 251-2097.
